The number of bodies found during the cleanup of Nairobi River has risen to 14 after the body of an eight-year-old was found on Fri
The cleanup is being spearheaded by Nairobi Governor Sonko.
“Nairobi will never be the same again from today. I shall work around the clock to guarantee efficient & timely services for all our residents,” the governor said on his Twitter handle.
Sonko said a joint team of Nairobi City County Government, NEMA and other government agencies have also closed down factories which are discharging effluent into Nairobi river.
