MKU gets go-ahead to teach real estate

Mount Kenya University (MKU) has been given accreditation by the Institute of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) to offer Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Management.

The program, which was certified during the 50th anniversary of ISK, will be offered under the school of Engineering, Energy and the Built Environment.

The accreditation brings the number of degrees offered in the School of Engineering to three.

MKU is the largest private university in Kenya by student populartion.

The latest rankings by Webometrics classifies MKU among the top five private universities and the 13th university in Kenya interms of its influence and ability to use the web in engaging the society.

Similarly, UniRank places it among the six top universities in Kenya and 96 in Africa.
