ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has accused Deputy President William Ruto of using the National Prayer Breakfast to attack former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
During a press conference Sifuna said Ruto was taking any opportunity he had to exhibit personalized attacks against Raila.
During the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday Ruto told former UK politician Lord Michael Hastings to take the CV of the retired Prime Minister (PM) and consider him for a job since Kenya abolished the PM position.
Ruto said this after Hastings asked President Uhuru if he has an extra Prime Minister to give Britain as a replacement for Theresa May who has resigned.
“We have a retired one in Kenya and since the constitution has abolished that position in Kenya and he may not have it anytime soon, we will send you his CV, maybe you can consider,” Ruto said.
The Building Bridges Initiative formed by Uhuru recommended the formation of Prime Minister’s Office and two deputies to accommodate election losers.
However, the politicians supporting Ruto have rebuked this position and called it unnecessary.
