Mandera County Governor Ali Roba has addressed the concerns that some muslims have defied Chief Kadhi Ahmed Muhdhar’s directive and instead observed Eid-Al – Fitr on Tuesday.

Governor Ali has said that the moon was seen in parts of North Eastern therefore it’s perfectly in order to observe prayers on Tuesday.

“There is nothing wrong in holding Idd prayers today as long as you have finished your 30 days of fasting. We are not going against Chief Kadhi because we shall still hold Idd prayers on Wednesday,” Roba told NTV Kenya.

Muslims from different parts of the country have gathered in mosques and grounds to hold special prayers.
