US companies are responding to the trade ban made by President Donald Trump against Chinese tech giant Huawei.
One after another, the companies are withdrawing operations with Huawei. The recent withdrawals include Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram.
App preinstalls on Huawei phones from these major social media platforms have been suspended.
This means the newly manufactured phones by Huawei will not have all Facebook properties that can be sold on international markets.
Facebook told Reuters that the Huawei devices that are already with consumers will still be able to run and receive regular updates.
The US had given Huawei a 90-day reprieve which when it expires all Huawei phones will not be having Facebook or Play Store app pre-installed.
