The weatherman Sunday predicted heavy rainfall in Western, Nyanza and South Rift.
Some of the counties mentioned are Kakamega, Busia, Vihiga, Bungoma, Kisumu, Kisii and Nandi.
The Meteorological Department of Kenya says these counties should expect heavy rains with thunderstorm over several places.
The highland areas and eastern Kenya are expected to experience moderate rainfall while the coastal parts and north eastern are expected to have strong winds.
The warning comes a few weeks after reports were rife that the country would experience severe drought due to the shortage of rainfall.
Heavy rains most of the times translate to flooding and damage of crops as well as outbreak of waterborne diseases like Typhoid and Cholera.
