Former Kiambu governor William Kabogo is contemplating suing telcos for what he views as economic servitude for them to attach an expiry date for data bundles.
He believes that data bundles should not have an expiry date and if they must have, then they should be renewable.
Kabogo said mobile service providers “are treating their data bundles like a pregnancy that once you carry it to term, you have no choice but give birth.”
The politician said he will contact his lawyers to look into the matter.
Safaricom’s head of customer service Sylvia Mulinge however told Business Daily that their products are best on information sourced from customers.
