At least 7,000 students will now be beneficiaries of Sh40 million education bursary issued by Busia County government.
The cheques from the bursary were issued to needy students at Busia Vocational Training Centre.
Busia deputy governor Moses Mulomi commissioned the issuance of the cheques saying the county prioritizes education.
“Our county needs the help of other stakeholders to ensure education is embraced in the county as it is an important aspect,” said Mulomi.
The deputy governor applauded the efforts of teachers in ensuring students get the knowledge required.
“Empowered teachers will give us experienced children who will bring national development in the future,” he said.
