8 KDF soldiers hospitalized after Malaa accident

Eight Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) soldiers have been admitted at Forces Memorial Hospital after the lorry they were traveling in got involved in an accident near Malaa River along Kangundo Road.

“This morning at around 10:00am , a KDF vehicle conveying our troops participating in a training exercise was involved in a road accident on Kangundo Road near Malaa shopping center,” the KDF spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Paul Njuguna told TV47 Digital on phone.

According to Matungulu Sub-County Police Commander, Isaac Thuranira, the driver lost control of the vehicle causing it to veer off the road.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
