Murangá women representative has come out to refute claims that she was heckled by supporters of Deputy President William Ruto.
Responding to a tweet by former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, Chege asserted that there was no heckling as the event went on beautifully.
Khalwale’s tweet had implied that the legislator had been booed in her home turf because she belittled Ruto’s influence in central Kenya.
Former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga weighed in on this situation, calling Khalwale history as far as Kenya’s politics is concerned.
Prior to this, various netizens posted a photo of Sabina Chege seemingly in tears and stated that she broke down after failing to calm the crowd that was chanting DP Ruto’s name.
She was in the county accompanied by a section of female leaders who had gone to drum up support for Uhuru-Raila handshake.
