Jimmy Gathu is one of the reknown media personalities in the country. He has graced local television screens from the 90s and from then he never looked back. Little did he know he will lose his former job at Nation FM.
The celebrated media personality revealed this on NTV’s Unscripted Show by Grace Msalame.
He said, “It was bad. I lost faith in myself. I was broken. At the height of my game, at the point where I was told to go home.”
“My show was the biggest radio in the country. And even at that, I was told, no, go home. I had never been without a job for 30 years. The first envelope that came out was mine and it was hard,” he added.
Gathu had opened up how he wanted to be a street preacher at some point but his wife was the main support system. She helped him identify himself, he says.
