On Sunday President Uhuru Kenyatta slammed DP Ruto’s Tanga Tanga squad for ignoring his calls to stop 2022 politics.
During the annual Akorino meeting held at the Kasarani gymnasium, the visibly angry Uhuru had some choice words for the rebel MPs.
Speaking in his native Kikuyu language, the president reminded the rebel MPs who have ignored his calls to stop politicking, that he was not their errand boy.
He said that it was on his name they rode on the ballot to Parliament and that they should not imagine that they could order him around. He told them that it was in their interest to serve the country and if not, he was not afraid to go after them.
The President told off the MPs as self-serving adding that he would not be distracted from his mission to take Kenya to the next level. He said he only wanted peace and development for his people and his silence should not be mistaken for weakness.
He told MPs that being in the media was not what would get them elected but the services they would offer their respective constituents.
He praised the Akorino church for having integrity and always backing his leadership with prayers.
The president also gave the Akorino church a title deed for land donated by the government for them to build a theology school.
