Eldoret ‘female’ intern found to be male had earlier sought to boost female hormones

The 26-year-old man who was arrested in Eldoret for impersonating a female intern was previously looking for ways to boost female hormones.

The intern who had taken the name Shieys Chepkosgei was masquerading as a female intern at Moi Teaching and Referal Hospital.

According to her Facebook posts “Shieys” has been dressing like a female and even applying makeup from as early as 2017.

Surprisingly ‘Shieys’ has taken part in international athletic competitions as a female.

‘Shiey’ was presented to court on Wednesday where he told the court that he was a man but always preferred being associated with the female gender.

The suspect also holds an original National Identity Card and Kenya passport with the name Shieys Chepkosgei

The suspect is being held at Eldoret West Police Station for 10 days pending investigations into the gender issue.

The case will be mentioned on June 27.

The suspect was remanded at Eldoret Central police station for 10 days under the name Hillary Kiprotich pending further interrogation.
