A 17-year-old boy was run over by a police vehicle killing him instantly along the Sagana-Makutano road in Kirinyaga County.
Kenneth Mwaura, was on his way to Sagana town when he met his untimely death.
The Form Two student at Njegas Boys Secondary School was on a midterm break when the tragedy occurred.
The grandparents of the boy are now crying for justice for their son who they describe as bright and hardworking.

The boy’s grandfather, Mr Mwaura Chege said the police refused to cooperate with them when they went to look for his body.
“I was told by a neighbor that my boy was hit by a car and is dead. We went to the police station as a family to ask where his body has been taken but the police officers insulted as,” said Chege.
Eye witnesses say the boy who was riding his grandfather’s motorcycle was hit from behind by the police vehicle which had two officers.
The police who were reportedly slightly injured then picked the boy’s body and took it to Murang’a Hospital mortuary.
According to the grandfather, the boy had gone to withdraw money that would be used to buy his school uniform when he was hit by the police car.
County Police Commander Leah Kithei confirmed the incident and asked the family to be patient as investigations are ongoing.
However, she would not give the names of the officers who hit the boy but insisted the law will be enforced.
