The United States embassy has hinted on why it had to accept Kenya’s new currency.
The Embassy said that the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) had provided it with equipment upgrades and training necessary to accept the new currency.
Early on their system was only accepting the old currency hindering to pay for their services using the new currency.
“After coordination with the Central Bank of Kenya, we have been provided with equipment upgrades and training necessary to accept the new Kenyan currency,” the Consulate said in a tweet.
This comes as a relief for those applying for the United States visas
Kenyans applying for the United States Visas will now be able to use the both currencies until 1st October.
