MPs supporting Deputy President William Ruto are now calling for Raphael Tuju to step down as Jubilee’s Secretary General.

The Tangatanga MPs now claim that the leaked audio between Tuju and Kiambu politician George Nyanja show that the SG is behind the group that seeks to stop Ruto’s political ambitions.

The MPs, led by Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot and Kandara MP Alice Wahome, also want Tuju to come out and disown the video.

“If Tuju does not disown the video then we will know the president, deputy and members have no issues. It is the party officials who at causing problems,” said Cheruiyot.

MS Wahome also accused Tuju of betraying the Jubilee government.

“Tuju should tender his resignation letter immediately so that the party can pick someone else who is loyal and competent,” she said.

In the leaked audio, Tuju tells Nyanja that he does not want to come open about political realignment that will take place in the party until 2021.

“Let me work in the background until 2021…its not good to come in the open until then,” Tuju is heard telling Nyanja.

Despite the pressure on him to resign, Tuju has remained silent about the whole issue.
