Former Harambee Stars midfielder and Betin Ambassador McDonald Mariga paid the national team players a visit in Egypt on Tuesday.
Mariga paid a courtesy call to his brother team captain Victor Wanyama who was celebrating his 28th birthday.
He urged the stars to forget the 2-0 thumping by the Desert Foxes of Algeria and focus on the upcoming do or die game against Tanzania.
He further adviced the homeboys to treat the forthcoming duel like they would treat a finals match.
“There’s nothing we can do about the Algeria match, that is all in the past. All we can do is, treat the match with Tanzania like the finals and give it our best,” Mariga said.
Mariga was an influential player for the national team, making more than 40 appearances and scoring 5 goals.
All eyes are now on the Kenya-Tanzania game scheduled for Thursday, June 27 at 11:00 pm local time.
