The possibility of Harambee Stars making it past the group stage is very minimal.
Sports analyst John Kianda said the team’s morale has gone down after being beaten by Algeria in the opening match.
Kianda added that it will be hard for Kenya to beat Senegal because they are experienced and have a good playing style.
“If Kenya plays the same way they played against Algeria in the remaining games, they will be knocked out of the tournament prematurely,” said Kianda.
He pointed out that Harambee Star’s players, the likes Victor Wanyama, Micheal Olunga, Ayubu Timbe are fresh from injuries and they lack fresh fitness to deliver in the remaining games.
To him, Kenya should have picked a draw from Algeria and Senegal then beat Tanzania for them to proceed past the group stage.
The loss now means Kenya must get results against Tanzania and Senegal. It will take a miracle to do that.
On Thursday, the team will be playing Tanzania, who have vowed to pick three points against Kenya.
