Celebrated Churchill Raw show host Jasper Muthomi, whose stage name is MC Jessy, graduated from Daystar University on Saturday.

According to a graduation list seen by TV47 Digital, MC Jessy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication – Advertising.

However, it is not clear whether the comedian will change the direction of his career now that he has decided to explore the field of advertising.

Speaking to NTV, who were there to do a live coverage of the ceremony, the comedian jokingly said that he will look for a job now that he has the papers.

“After graduating I am going to look for a job, finally. You know my parents back home at Meru still think I have never found a job.  I will therefore look for a job now that I have the education. So I feel great, ” MC Jessy said during the ceremony which was held at Daystar’s Athi River campus.

Various celebrities went ahead to congratulate the Meru-bred comedian, including his boss at Churchill show, Daniel ‘Churchill’ Ndambuki.

During his study at Daystar, MC Jessy has also pushed his fellow comedian, Jalango, to pursue a degree. In a congratulatory message on his instagram page on Saturday, Jalango said that MC Jessy was the reason he registered for his degree at Daystar University in 2013.

“Many moons have passed since my brother @jessythemc told me Talent without school is nothing…today the truth just dawned on me when I saw this pic of my brother in a gown!!” the Milele FM presenter wrote.

“Jessy kept on pushing me to register and I kept wondering what for? I have a career, I have connections? Why do I need to go to school? Today is another reason!” the comedian added.

Jalango, who has been studying at the varsity for about three and a half years now, hinted that he will be graduating soon.
