Controversial human rights activist Boniface Mwangi has hit out on the Kenyan government, saying it does zero investment on sports development.
Mwangi said this after Kenya was beaten yesterday 3-0 by Senegal.
“Well done Harambee Stars, our government has invested zero in your skills development but inspite of that you represented us proudly,” said Mwangi.
Mwangi also went ahead to state other reasons why he thinks Kenya will not win the African Cup of Nations 2019.
According to Mwangi, corruption is a dealbreaker for Harambee Stars as playgrounds are grabbed and FIFA money allocated to Kenya football is stolen.
The activist said the other reason is funding as, the Kenya Premier League pays poorly, betting companies fund soccer and the rich in Kenya play golf, making corporate sponsors to fund golf.
