Lawyer Miguna Miguna has congratulated Senegal’s Lions of Teranga after their win against Kenya’s Harambee Stars.
Miguna took to his Twitter handle to express his joy after the homeboys went down 3-0 in AFCON Group C do-or-die match played on Monday night.
The controversial self-proclaimed general said he cheered for Senegal because he does not want to associate with a team ‘whose country is ruled by a tyrant’.
He further said being a Kenyan is not reason enough for him to support the national team as he only cheers for countries that practice democracy.
When challenged by Kenyans on Twitter who felt Kenya’s democracy is on a higher pedestal than Senegal’s, Miguna hit back stating that he had been to the west African nation before and concluded that their democracy is ‘100 times better’ than Kenya’s.
Miguna finished off by stating that Harambee Stars will continue to lose international matches until the day Kenya will be liberated from individuals he terms ‘despots’.
