Garissa terror attack culprits sentenced to 41 years in prison

The High Court Wednesday sentenced three men found guilty of carrying out the Garissa University terror attack in 2015.

Two Kenyans Mohammed Ali Abdikar and Hassan Aden Hassan were sentenced to 41 years in prison.

Rashid Charles Mberesero, a Tanzanian has been sentenced to life in prison.

The trio was charged with conspiracy to commit a terror act, being members of al Shabaab and committing a terrorism act.

Principal Magistrate Francis Andayi sentenced on the three.

The culprits were on June 19 found guilty of facilitating the terror attack that lead to the death of 148 people, majority being students.
