Jeff Koinage: Lessons I learnt when I first met Bob Collymore

Spread the love

Journalist Jeff Koinange has hinted about the lessons he learnt when he first met Bob Collymore for the first time.

Speaking at Bob Collymore memorial service at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, Koinange said he learnt that, as a human being you should treat each and every person you meet the same because you never know who he might be or become.

He said that when he first met Collymore, he thought he was Micheal Joseph’s bodyguard and at one point treated him as an ordinary person.

Collymore was first introduced to Koinange by Micheal Joseph, the then Safaricom CEO.

The journalist said that the first meeting taught him that humility is key in life and it is the best way to connect with people.

He also learnt that great people are always simple with a big heart.

Another lesson he said he learnt was: as a human being, you should not feel resentful when you are held in low regard because you are the only person who understands yourself better than anyone else.
