Safaricom has sent an apology for the rogue tweets that were sent using their official Twitter account on Wednesday night.
In a tweet sent on Thursday, Safaricom attributed the rogue tweets to ‘a system glitch’.
On Wednesday night, tweeps were caught by surprise by the style in which the company replied to tweets. Contrary to their known reserved response style, Safaricom openly criticized the government and State House official Dennis Itumbi.
The Safaricom twitter account also sent messages to itself.
However, the company says that their system has been rectified.
