Uganda Cranes head coach Sebastien Desabre says his team will do all it takes to display the best results as the team play against Senegal.
Speaking at Arab Contractors Stadium in Cairo, after training on Wednesday night, Desabre said his team is going into the game knowing that they need to make history by proceeding to play in the quarterfinals.
Desabre said the team has done training to put them in the right mood to face the Lions of Teranga.
The French man admitted that Senegal is a strong team but that will not deter them from giving their best, because they will play with the same commitment they played with during the group stage matches.
“We will play giving the maximum as we did when we were playing Zimbabwe, Egypt and Congo so that we go through Senegal,” said Desabre.
Uganda qualified after coming up as runners up in their group with four points, while Senegal qualified in the same position in their group with six points.
The match against Senegal will be played at Cairo International Stadium on Friday.
If Uganda cranes win, they will play against Morroco or Benin in the quarterfinals.
