Three people have died and sixteen others injured after a lorry ferrying construction workers overtuned at Kamuseny in Elgeyo-Marakwet County.
According to Elgeyo-Marakwet County Police Commander John Mwinzi the lorry was carrying sand and could have overturned due to the excess weight.
Reports by Nation Media indicate that the lorry was owned by Stecol and was ferrying workers from Kachibora to a construction site in Koitugum.
Mwinzi also said the 16 injured were taken to Kitale County Referral Hospital.
10 of the injured were treated and discharged while the other six were admitted due to their serious injuries.
The dead were taken to Kitale County Referral Hospital mortuary.
