Team Embrace changes tune to focus on food security

Women movement, Embrace Kenya, has changed tune from their Gender Based Violence campaign to food security.

On July 9, 2019, Embrace Kenya, will pitch camp at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) to discuss the role of women in providing food security.

The key note speakers at the event will be Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu and the Cabinet Secretary, Trade and Industrialization Peter Munya. 

In the past, Embrace Kenya has visited Nairobi, Baringo, Kisumu and Murang’a to condemn the rate of femicide and gender based violence in Kenya.

The group, consists of members who are in support of the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM party leader Raila Odinga.

‘Embrace’ is led by Youth and Gender Affairs Chief Administrative Secretary Rachel Shebesh and Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga.
