National assembly minority leader John Mbadi and Muranga senator Mr Irungu Kangata engaged in a hilarious argument on TV show CheckPoint that left the host, Sophia Wanuna, in stitches.
The two were debating the role of senators in government. Mr Mbadi, reading from the constitution, said that the role of senators includes animal control and welfare, licensing of dogs and providing facilities for the accommodation, care and burial of animals.
Mr Mbadi insisted that senators should do their jobs and stop encroaching on the national assembly’s mandate. This hilarious repartee left Sophia Wanuna and Mr Kangata in stitches.
