BBC’s Larry Madowo is scaling the heights in his life as he announced taking a break from the renowned media house to be a full-time student at Columbia University, New York City.
The former NTV anchor who has been BBC Africa Business Editor made the announcement on his Twitter account after being selected for the 2019-2020 prestigious Knight Bagehots fellowship of the university among ten others.
Knight Bagehot Fellowship is a global mid-career journalism program devoted to business/economics/finance and tech journalism
Larry has worked in several media houses as a news anchor specializing in technology, current affairs, political interviews and entertainment. He has worked for KTN, CNBC Africa and resigned from NTV in March 2018 to join BBC.
Madowo’s fans on Twitter congratulated the journalist and wished him well in his endeavors.
