MPs are asking for their salaries to be increased to allow them to clear their mortgages within the 5-year term.
A leaked memo from speaker Justin Muturi shows that MPs also want Sh5 million car grant.
The memo was sent to the Salaries and Remuneration Committee.
The Parliamentary Service Committee (PSC) also wants speakers paid like the Deputy President and the Chief Justice.
Embattled Nairobi County speaker Beatrice Elachi said that MPs have to clear their mortgages within a period of five years compared to a judge who serves until they retire.
Homa Bay woman rep Gladys Wanga said the Members of Parliament do an important job and need to be compensated.
Kenyan MPs have been awarding themselves a pay rise time and again making them some of the highest paid MPs in the world.
The new push comes after the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) won a court battle that saw MPs forfeit the house allowance of Sh250,000 a month.
