Two APs charged with ‘killing’ a businessman in Homa Bay

Two Administration Police officers have been charged in a court for allegedly killing a businessman at a bar in Ndhiwa town.

Appearing before Homa Bay High Court judge Joseph Karanjah on Tuesday, constable Lawi Mutali, Fredrick Makau Kimanzi and Alex Onyango were accused of killing Abdinasir Abdulahi on April 27, 2019.

The suspects are said to have descended on Mr Abshulahi with kicks and blows before the man fell on the ground and became unconscious.

Mr Abdulahi later succumbed at Ndhiwa sub-county hospital while undergoing treatment.

The three will take a plea upon undergoing a mental health test as stipulated by the law.

Meanwhile, they will be remanded for seven days at Homa Bay Gk Prison as they wait to take a plea on July 16, 2019.
