Football legend Joe Kadenge will be laid on 20th July 2019 in Vihiga County at his home, Hamisi. His burial was estimated to cost KSh5 million.
According to a family spokesman, Chris Mbwanga exclaimed that they have a budget and KSh5 million is approximately needed to cater for all the burial expenses.
He also added that they are short of funds and hope the government can help out. There will be a requiem mass held on July 17, at the Friends International Center, Ngong road.
The late Kadenge who was popularly known as Kadenge na mpira shuti goal, passed away at the age of 84 after battling with a recurrent stroke.
He was known as the top footballer in Kenya since he played for Maragoli United, Abaluyha United, won the Kenya Premier League in 1966 and appointed as the Harambee Stars coach in 2002.
