Kenyans have praised the Kibra Member of Parliament, Kenneth Okoth, for ensuring development continues seamlessly in spite of his absence.
They applauded the MP for ensuring bursaries are issued, schools are equipped with more resources and roads are repaired even though he was not in Kenya during that period.
However, on Sunday Okoth revealed that the Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi managed the county affairs when he was away for cancer treatment in France.
“Tim has been more than a brother to me, he came with his family to check on me while I was undergoing treatment in France. I sent him to deliver bursaries to students and I am glad he worked with my team and ensured they were well distributed,” Okoth said during the Kibra Music Festival last Sunday.
The legislator has been in France for close to five months receiving treatment for colorectal cancer.
