Former AFC leopard coach Sunday Kayuni has revealed that for the club to win the Kenya Premier League title, they must visit him in Tanzania and ask for forgiveness.

Kayuni claims that the team mistreated him in 1998 after winning their last KPL title.

“I cursed AFC Leopards when the then chairman, the late Francis Chahonyo fired me without paying me and imprisoned me. They will only start winning titles if they apologise and pay my outstanding arrears,” said Kuyuni.

The Tanzanian coach said he went through a lot of pain after being fired despite helping the club win KPL title.

He said his problems started when the team went to Cecafa and they were eliminated in the group stages and Chahonyo demanded to know why we had failed to make it past the group stages.

The team has taken more than a decade without winning the Kenya Premier League.

“They will remain without KPL trophy for as long as they don’t apologise to me,’’ he added.

The technical advisor for the Cecafa committee said that it took the intervention of the High Commissioner for Tanzania came for him to be released.
