Miguna says Waiguru’s big day was not a wedding, it was a plan to retain power

Controversial Lawyer Miguna Miguna has weighed in on Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru’s wedding to prominent lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo.

According to Miguna, the wedding was a ‘mafia plan’, masterminded by reform strategist Prof Peter Kagwanja and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Miguna claims the aim is to ensure the retention of power in the Mt Kenya region by making Waiguru a running mate, with further plans to lock out Deputy President William Ruto from 2022 ballot.

Among other people that Miguna mentioned are Uhuru’s elder brother Muhoho Kenyatta and former senior presidential advisor who was recalled to head President Kenyatta’s re-election campaign, Nancy Gitau.

This even as the self-proclaimed general castigated Raila Odinga for attending the wedding, calling him a traitor to Kenyans who stood by him during the 2017 election turmoil.

Anne Waiguru got married to Kamotho Waiganjo on Saturday, July 13 in a lavish Agikuyu traditional wedding at Kiamugumo Primary School in Gichugu.

Waiguru and Waiganjo are said to have met about 10 years ago in a ferry in Likoni, Mombasa County while travelling to a conference.
