Kenyans online have come out to support the striking uber drivers citing underpayment and zero value for their investment.
The taxi drivers who are pushing for better pricing of their services vowed to begin their strike on Monday until their issues are addressed.
According to the president of digital taxi forum John Kimani, the US-based Uber and Estonian software Taxify have refused to negotiate with the drivers’ representatives regarding various changes they have been making without proper consultation.
“We have no other recourse than to begin our indefinite strike from July 15. We will be picketing and holding peaceful demonstrations daily until our concerns are addressed,” Kimani said.
