Sportpesa has vowed to continue with its effort of redefining sports development across the country, despite the Government of Kenya revoking its operational licence over ‘unpaid taxes’.
The company’s chief executive officer, Ronald Karauri, said the betting firm is ‘committed to developing sports in the country and nothing can waver’ its support to the community.
Karauri said Sportpesa has launched a program dabbed ‘Kits for Africa’ which is meant to support teams at the grassroots levels.
“Our business has uniquely and consistently boosted sports development in the country and we will never waiver in our support for community investment,” said Karauri.
The CEO said that the initiative will impact in areas such as football, boxing, rugby, and social projects like water access, environmental initiatives and skills uplift in Kenya.
