Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua on Wednesday held 2022 talks with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Governor Mutua had visited PM Odinga in his office at Capital Hill.
According to Mutua, following the meeting, Raila agreed to visit Machakos County on an official development tour.
“We had discussions on how to intensify the fight against corruption and how to deal with corrupt individuals who are rendering our mothers and children poor,” Mutua said.
Mutual also said that they discussed the changes that needs to be made in Kenya’s electoral system to ensure it is inclusive.
“We do not want the winner takes it all system as it is the main cause of divisive politics,” said Mutua.
Mutua said he advocates for an executive that can accommodate an elected President, prime minister and deputy prime ministers so that more people can come in with policies and ideologies.
