Starehe Member of Parliament Charles Kanyi Njagua is on the spotlight once again. This time, the legislator is being accused by social media users of lying that he visited Tanzania.
The genesis of this saga is a photo posted two days ago on his Instagram account where Jaguar claimed he was in Tanzania.
Kenyan netizens quickly noticed the surroundings in the photograph, concluding that the environment resembled Nairobi more than it did a city in Tanzania.
It has now been established that the building is in Westlands, Nairobi. The location has been pinned to Westcom Point Building along Mahiga Mairu Road off Waiyaki Way.
A section of Tanzanian fans was angered by the picture, telling Jaguar that he is still in the country’s ‘unwelcome list’.
Jaguar got on Tanzanian’s bad side after his xenophobic remarks on foreign traders taking over local markets.
The MP directed Interior CS Fred Matiang’i to ger rid of the foreigners, some of which are Tanzanians.
He further added that failure by the CS to handle the situation would prompt him to take matters into his own hands.
His sentiments landed him behind bars for almost a week. It even attracted the attention of Tanzania’s President John Magufuli who was quick to congratulate President Kenyatta for acting on Jaguar’s remarks.
