The DPP Noordin Haji has ordered the arrest of Treasury CS Henry Rotich over the Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal.
He also ordered the arrest of Treasury PS Kamau Thuge.
Haji says Rotich borrowed Sh17 billion more than what was needed to for the dam.
He also ordered the arrest of the director-general of CMC Di Ravena Paolo Porcelli.
The contract he said was issued despite full knowledge that the company was experiencing serious financial problems.
“You can ask the DCI he is probably arresting them right now,” he told journalists when asked when they will be arrested.
He also called for the arrest of former KVDA managing director David Kimosop, Permanent Secretary of ministry of East African community Susan Koech among others.
He said the firm was supposed to cost about Sh26 billion but Sh64 billion was borrowed plus Sh11 billion for insurance.
Others are Kennedy Nyanchiro and senior managers at CMC Di Ravena. Haji also pointed out that Rotich borrowed the money bringing the public debt above the statutory limit.
