Former Milele FM breakfast show presenter Sudais Oladipoh will be premiering a cultural show, Jamii na Itikadi, on TV47 this Monday from 6 to 7pm.
Through his show, Oladipoh will be evaluating the different cultural practices among communities in the 47 counties.
“We shall be evaluating which beliefs and cultures have been overtaken by modernity and which are still important,” the seasoned Kiswahili journalist told TV47 Digital.
Oladipoh’s first show will be a general introduction but the consequent shows will focus on different tribes. On Tuesday Luhya, Wednesday Luo, and Thursday Kisii.
The show will run from Monday all the way to Friday. But what will make the show stand out?
“We will engage people on the ground since we have reporters from all the counties. Like today we’ll have residents from Kitale and Mombasa give their perception on their cultures,” the former Swahili K24 reporter and anchor said.
Similarly, the Jamii and Itikadi show host will engage online audiences on uncouth cultural practices in society such as Female Genital Mutilation.
Oladipoh left Mediamax in January 2016 following a mass retrenchment that saw 85 people sent home.
Oladipoh was then appointed the Country Manager of Flashscore in January 2018. Whilst there, he helped the Czech based Sports Data company set up shop in Kenya.
Flashscore is a sporting media company that does games analysis and updates.
“I have really missed TV. I’ll be doing TV47’s breakfast show – Macheo from 7 am to 9am. I’ll also do the 7 and 9pm Kiswahili news on selected days,” the father of two girls said.
In addition to his cultural show, Jamii na Itikadi, Oladipoh will also be TV47’s Kiswahili assignment editor.
