The Nyeri Town MP, Ngunjiri Wambugu, has backed the move to arrest Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich.
He congratulated specifically the Director of Criminal Investigations and the Director of Public Prosecutions for looking past the political criticisms.
“You have proven that this was not a political witch-hunt and neither was anyone ‘weaponizing’ the fight against corruption for 2022 elections, as TangaTanga claimed in numerous political rallies,” the face of Kieleweke group said.
Wambugu, seemingly, attacked Deputy President William Ruto who denied that Sh21 billion had been lost through Arror and Kimwarer dams.
Ruto was recorded saying that “the only money paid is Sh7 billion. The Sh7 billion that has been paid, is not lost.”
The Nyeri MP also went ahead to appeal to DCI and DPP to look into the Ministry of Agriculture. The ministry’s CS, Mwangi Kiunjuri, has been accused of allegedly withdrawing Sh1.8 billion without approval.
