Incoming UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has a racist past.
The Brexit campaigner has a long history of making controversial remarks, some of which are downright racist. His column on the Daily Telegraph had racial epithets. Below are some of his most controversial comments.
Writing in the Telegraph, Mr Johnson spoke about the burka, the Muslim cultural headscarf. He said it was ‘weird and bullying for women to be expected to cover their faces’ and said that it was ridiculous for people to go around ‘looking like letter boxes’.
He also described gay men in his column as tank-topped bumboys and wrote that the BBC’s decision to increase equality for gay people must be a spoof.
He also compared gay marriage to bestiality claiming that if it was allowed there was no reason why a union could not be consecrated between three men and a dog.
When trying to woo voters to the Tory party he said,”Voting Tory will cause your wife to have bigger breasts and increase your chances of owning a BMW M3.”
He claimed that the Tory party had become used to “Papua New Guinea-style orgies of cannibalism and chief-killing,” which sparked outrage in the country.
He described Hillary Clinton thus, “She’s got dyed blonde hair and pouty lips, and a steely blue stare, like a sadistic nurse in a mental hospital.”
He insulted the entire Commonwealth by referring to Africans as cheering crowds of flag-waving piccaninnies. A piccaninny is an American racial slur describing a black person.
He claimed that the rise in the rate of university attendance by Malaysian women was so that they could find husbands.
He described Vladimir Putin as a manipulative and ruthless tyrant who looked like Dobby the Elf.
He wrote a derogative poem for Turkish President Recep Erdogan that described him as having sexual relations with a goat.
He also wrote about Africa, “the continent may be a blot, but it is not a blot upon our conscience. The problem is not that we were once in charge, but that we are not in charge any more.”
He dissed Ugandans by saying that if left to their own devices they would rely on nothing but the instant carbohydrate gratification of the plantain.
When Obama removed a bust of Winston Churchill from his office after assuming power, Johnson intimated that it was probably the part ‘Kenyan president’s hate of Britain for colonizing his father’s homeland Kenya’.
