Kenyan economist David Ndii has said that he would never work for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government.
Ndii was responding to a netizen who said he would be a perfect Cabinet Secretary for Treasury as he is an honest man who understands the economy.
“The president needs an honest gentleman who knows and understands economics. We can’t borrow to prosperity,” said the netizen to Ndii.
However, Ndii did not agree with the netizen, saying the current government is ‘corrupt and illegitimate’, something that his appointment to Treasury cannot fix.
“Public Notice: I’m not available to work for Uhuru Kenyatta’s corrupt illegitimate government. Those thinking corruption and economy can be fixed in Treasury are gravely mistaken,” said Ndii.
According to the economist, the national financial crisis is something that will continue getting bigger until Jubilee party is out of power.
“National crisis will persist until a financial implosion or Jubilee is out of power whichever comes first,” said Ndii.
The Arror and Kimwarer dam scandals have been the talk on social media this week after individuals alleged to have been involved in the loss of multi-billion money were arrested.
On Tuesday, Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich faced charges, including abuse of office, conspiracy to commit an economic crime among others. However, the CS denied all charges.
