Kenya basketball team, the Morans, narrowly qualified for the quarterfinals of AfroCan Basketball championship by beating Ivory Coast 85-83 in the second round of the championship.
The morans were trailing when TylorOngwae came to their rescue by helping them garner the most crucial points that assured them of the crucial victory.
Kenya is set to play Tunisia in quarter-finals on Wednesday at in Palais de Sports, Bamako.
Mercy Wanyama, a sister to Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama who plays for the Kenya national women basketball team, expressed her hopes in the Morans saying that they better placed in winning the cup.
Other teams which made it to the quarterfinals are Morrocco who beat Guinea 86-52, Chad who sunk Egypt 98-95 and Algeria who knocked Nigeria out by beating them 84-80.
The tournament is taking place in Bamako, Mali.
