Kenyans are yet to come to terms with the demise of Kibra Member of Parliament Ken Okoth. The gallant legislator was greatly admired by residents of his constituency who hailed his brave battle with colorectal cancer.
His wife, however, has not frequented the limelight. It is alleged that the late Okoth worked hard to keep his better half, Monica Okoth, from the prying public eye. One known fact is that Monica is of European descent.
While going through the battle with cancer, Okoth spoke very highly of his wife, revealing that she stood by him through the hard times.
One of his closest friends identified as Fred Gori spoke of how the legislator had nothing but praises for his wife. Gori revealed that during a meeting with the MP, he advised them to take care of their wives.
“You may have a lot of money for treatment but nothing equals a woman who stands by you in your moment illness,” said Okoth.
Monica is said to have taken 5 months off from work to stand by her ailing hubby. Okoth was also quoted to have said that his wife made battling cancer bearable.
Okoth died at the age of 41 after a brave with colorectal cancer.
