Despite her deteriorating condition on Sunday, the late Dr Joyce Laboso asked the Deputy President William Ruto about the current state of her county – Bomet.
“When I came here to see Joyce, we had a chat and she was conscious, she asked me about what was going on in Bomet. She asked me about whether she could go home, and with Edwin here, we told her that all she needed to do was look after herself and give an opportunity to doctors to look after her,” the Deputy President said.
She further asked the Council of Governors Chairman, Wycliffe Oparanya, if he had gotten the county money that he needed.
Dr Laboso was hopeful that she was going to get better so that she can go back to serve her people back at Bomet.
However, despite her bravery, Laboso lost the battle to colon cancer on Monday.
This is after two of seeking treatment in London and India. However, she came back to Kenya on July 14th and has been at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for the past two weeks.
Only a few people were allowed to see the late Bomet Governor when she was admitted at the ICU.
The Late Laboso leaves behind her husband Edwin Abonyo and sons.
