Deputy President William Ruto has spoken out in support of Jubilee Party saying they have a solid development record.
“People are trying to paint the Jubilee administration as one that has done nothing but theft and corruption, which I will not accept,” said Ruto.
Ruto said that under the leadership of President Uhuru, the Jubilee administration has developed this country than any of the prior governments.
“We have developed the infrastructure such as SGR, road constructions, electricity connections, technical projects, water projects, investments in health and devolution,” said Ruto.
Ruto added that in the history of Kenya, the Jubilee government will be remembered for bringing development and not the false picture of corruption that is being propagated by their enemies.
“We will not stand by as our enemies paint a mere picture that the Jubilee administration is corrupt,” said Ruto.
Ruto was speaking in light of the corruption crackdown which has seen arrest of leaders affiliated to Jubilee Party.
Ferdinand Waititu who is associated with DP Ruto was in court Monday on allegations of misappropriation KSh588 million public funds.
Last week, former CS Henry Rotich and his PS Kamau Thugge, both of Jubilee government, were arrested and charged with procurement illegalities in the award of the Arror and Kimwarer dam tender.
