Former Kibwezi legislator Kalembe Ndile has said he does not support Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.
While addressing the press on Monday, Ndile accused the deputy president and his aides of being a stumbling block in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s fight against graft.
According to the Tip Tip Party leader, Ruto and his entourage are not putting in any effort when it comes to matters fighting corruption.
Ndile also added that his party’s focus is on helping President Kenyatta fight corruption and when the time comes for 2022 campaigns, they will support whoever helped in the fight.
Ndile cited the lifestyle audit that had been suggested by the president as another reason why he will not support Ruto.
He says that people close to the deputy president were so quick to oppose the lifestyle audit, an issue that raised eyebrows.
He also said that if William Ruto clinched the top seat come 2022, he will pick a team with member’s whose track records are questionable.
