Former Kibra Member of Parliament Ken Okoth’s paternal family has accused the funeral planning committee of sidelining them from the burial arrangements.
The family’s spokesman, Raymond Mbai, said despite the burial date being likely set on Saturday, they have not been included in the burial arrangements by the team in Nairobi.
“Our family has been kept in the dark over burial arrangements despite us sharing a lineage with Ken Okoth,” said Mbai.
Mbai said the family needs to be in touch with Okoth’s mother and his wife to avert wrangles that might arise.
He said they are ready to bury the MP at Amoso village in Kochia ward, Homa Bay County next to where his late father was buried.
Okoth’s remains are likely to be interred at Ogenga Village in Kasipul Kabondo at his mothers home.
The deceased’s memorial service will be held on Wednesday at Starehe Boys Centre.
